Bus 2 and 2A run from the Old Town to Verudela every 30 min in summer (every hour off-season). Single ticket 1.50 EUR on the bus, 1.30 EUR pre-bought at any kiosk. Last bus back is 23:30 in summer, 22:00 off-season.
Bring water shoes. Pula's rocky shores have sea urchins and the occasional anemone. Ten EUR at any beach shop saves you a clinic visit.
Hawaii beach (Verudela) gets crowded by 11:00 in July. Stoja's rocks (bus 1) or Punta Verudela's coastal trail are quieter alternatives 5-10 minutes off the main strip.
Cape Kamenjak day trip: bus 28 from Pula bus station to Premantura at 09:00, 5 EUR each way. Rent a bike at the park entrance (10 EUR) and ride the rocky trails. Last bus back around 19:30. Cleanest water in Croatia.
